Ruben A. Mesa, MD, FACP, is president of the Advocate Health Cancer National Service Line and executive director of the National Cancer Institute¨Cdesignated Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he leads enterprise-wide cancer strategy and care delivery. An internationally recognized hematologist-oncologist, he is known for advancing research and clinical care in myeloproliferative neoplasms and has authored hundreds of peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Mesa earned his MD from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and holds academic leadership roles at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. A longtime partner to ACS and ACS CAN, Dr. Mesa has held volunteer and leadership roles with the organizations across Arizona, Texas, and North Carolina.
